Project Manager – Optical Instrumentation
Your challenges
- Under the supervision of the BLO and as team member of the R&D Team, you take the responsibility of R&D projects aiming the development of new equipments or the improvement of existing ones. The projects to be run apply to the Medical & Life Sciences activities: microscopy, tomography, cell analyzers…
- You define and manage the project management roadmap, you lead the project team members (System Eng. , Software Eng., …), assure the completion of the different steps from specs definitions till prototyping in line with the requested planning, budget, quality standards, regulations, … and manage all the documentations and reporting.
- You are in close contact with customers and organize follow-up meetings to present results and status of the project.
- You are a major contributor regarding Lambda-X engineering activities.
- You bring your operational and leadership skills to assure the success of each project.
Your profile
- You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering: electromechanics, mechanics, electronics, biomedical, physics, ….
- You have at least 10 years of work experience, with more than 3 years managing R&D projects in the industry.
- You have an excellent command of English; the practice of French is a real asset.
- You have at least theoretical knowledge in optics.
- You easily integrate a multidisciplinary team and are recognized for your rigor, your hands-on attitude and your ability to manage stakeholders.
- You organize your work efficiently to supply your deliverables according to planning.
- You are multi-task and have the ability to work on several project in parallel.

Business Development Manager – Life Sciences & Industry
Your challenges
- Under the supervision of the Business Line Officer (BLO) and in close collaboration with the engineering teams, you are responsible to develop the portfolio of high-tech B2B customers and associated sales, with
a main focus on Europe & USA. - You promote a unique method of selling innovation services.
- You develop customer relations and promote Lambda-X services through networking, prospecting missions, participation in international trade fairs and shows, setting-up and implementing digital marketing
techniques. - You respond to inquiries and quotation requests, explore new opportunities with existing clients and spot new business opportunities by analyzing the market trends and competition.
- You manage key accounts and customers satisfaction through adequate communication and meeting management.
- You ensure sales process internally in good coherence with the company’s EN9100 quality system and customers’ expectations.
- You actively contribute to the pleasant working atmosphere and share your ideas to improve ways of working leading to company success.

Business Development Manager – Space & Defense
Your challenges
- Reporting to the Space & Defense Business Line Officer and the CEO, and working closely with our business development, engineering, and production teams, you will drive the expansion of our high-tech B2B customer portfolio and boost global sales.
- You promote a unique method of selling innovation services and ensure full alignment with the Group’s strategic standards and best practices.
- Understanding and promoting Lambda-X services through networking, prospection missions, participation in international trade fairs and shows, setting-up and exploiting digital marketing techniques, leveraging the existing tools of the Verhaert group.
- Responding to inquiries and quotation requests, looking for new opportunities with existing clients, identifying new business opportunities by analyzing the market trends and competition.
- Managing key accounts and customer satisfaction through adequate communication and meeting management.
- Managing sales process internally in good coherence with the company’s EN9100 quality system to ensure that customers’ requirements as well as commercial objectives (quality, delivery times, deliverables…) are well fulfilled.

Your profile
